-AWARD WINNING AUTHOR-
Melissa J. Cunningham
ABOUT ME
Melissa Cunningham (also known as M.E. Cunningham) was born in Oregon but grew up in Utah, where she was raised on a steady diet of fine literature from Charlotte’s web to the The Trumpeter Swan, and then plenty of romances in her teen years. She now lives with her husband on a little farm in northern Utah where all she can see out of her back door is miles of pasture and stunning sunsets. Not only does she raise horses, dogs, cats, and chickens, but her five kids also. When Melissa is not writing you can find her spending time in the outdoors with her family or dancing wildly to rock music in her living room. She loves running, camping, and all things fiction—scary, mind-numbing stories preferred.

OTHER FUN FACTS
I was born in Oregon and miss it like crazy.
I'm an ocean girl. I feel parched and dehydrated in my heart and soul if I'm away from large bodies of water for too long. Maybe I'm a mermaid.
I was a music major in college, playing the piano, guitar, and singing. At one time I was going to be a music therapist.
My mother died of breast cancer two weeks before my wedding. That was hard.
I love icecream, but I'm lactose intolerant. I love bread, but I'm gluten intolerant. Lyme Disease gave me my food allergies, but they aren't going away even though I no longer have Lyme! How rude!
I love running, but can't anymore. Dumb body.
I love going to movies and I love the smell of popcorn. It's one of my favorite things!
I lived in Venezuela for a year and a half and I can still taste the food when I close my eyes. I loved it there.
My bed is my favorite place on Earth! I could live there. Oh wait. I do!
I love cookie dough, late night TV, and writing in my pajamas.
I'll read any genre, but particularly love horror and paranormal. Fantasy comes in at a close third. I can't stand romances, but that seems to be what my books always turn out to be. Go figure.
Last, but not least, I adore my family and would lay down my life to protect them from zombies.
